Hourly Pay Rate Policy

Normal pay rate:

Straight Time Pay: (Normal hourly pay rate)

1.        This is the rate at which an individual is paid when working 40 hours or less a week and 10 hours or less a day.

2.       This is the rate at which vacation pay, holiday pay, and sick pay are paid.

Overtime Pay: (1  ½ normal pay)

Overtime pay will be given when an individual meets any of the following:

1.        More than 40 hours worked in one week.

2.       After 10 hours a day is worked.

3.       Working on Saturday if 40 hours ( on the job) have already been accumulated for the week.

4.       Working on a company recognized holiday. ( if working is mandatory/required) necessity will be determined by job foremen, project manager, & company officer.

Double Time Pay: ( 2 times normal pay)

Double time pay will be given when an individual meets any of the following:

1.        When it is necessary…Hours worked after 9:30 p.m. when 14 hours have already been logged for that day.  (Necessity will be determined by job foreman and company officer prior to event.)

2.       Working on Sunday if 40 hours (on the job) have already been accumulated for the week.  (Double time will not be paid to individuals who work Sunday but have not worked Saturday) unless prior approval has been given by company officer and job foreman jointly

Accumulated Hours:

Hours that an employee is paid for may be obtained in the following manners:

1.        Hours worked on a job site.

2.       Hours of vacation pay.

3.       Hours of sick pay.

4.       Hours of holiday pay.

Employees may not implement vacation pay or sick pay for the purpose of obtaining overtime or doubletime pay.  40 on the job hours must be obtained to gain overtime or double time pay.
